Greater Binghamton Region Compensation:
$250,000 - $325,000+ per year Position Overview MedStaff Group is recruiting an experienced Medical Director / Attending Physician on behalf of a growing healthcare organization providing care across multiple skilled nursing facilities in Endicott and the surrounding Greater Binghamton region . This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who wants to combine clinical leadership with hands-on patient care . The physician will oversee medical services across multiple facilities while working closely with facility administrators, nursing leadership, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary care teams. We are seeking a highly clinical and collaborative physician with a strong Internal Medicine background and an interest in caring for geriatric, post-acute, and long-term care populations. Previous SNF or long-term care experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Serve as Medical Director and Attending Physician across multiple skilled nursing facilities Provide primary, post-acute, and long-term care to residents Perform admissions, follow-up visits, annual assessments, and chronic disease management Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, administrators, specialists, and facility staff Provide clinical oversight and guidance to facility care teams Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team discussions Support quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives Help reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and improve resident outcomes Maintain timely and accurate documentation within facility EMR systems Qualifications MD or DO with an active New York State medical license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine Strong Internal Medicine/primary care background SNF, long-term care, post-acute, or geriatric experience preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills Comfortable providing care and leadership across multiple facilities Compensation & Benefits $250,000 - $325,000+ annual compensation Additional earning opportunities based on coverage and productivity Health Insurance Paid Time Off Travel Reimbursement Flexible Scheduling Tuition Reimbursement Strong administrative and clinical support This position offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact physician leadership role while maintaining an active clinical practice and improving the quality of care for geriatric and post-acute patients throughout the Greater Binghamton region .
