Are you the person everyone calls when something breaks because "you can fix just about anything?" CRB Services is looking for a dependable, experienced and highly skilled Facilities & Projects Manager to take ownership of the maintenance, repair, appearance and improvement of our growing number of properties throughout Somerset and Cambria Counties. This is NOT a desk job. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys fixing things, building things, solving problems and seeing a project through from start to finish. Our Facilities & Projects Manager will travel between CRB properties in Ferndale, Hooversville, Nanty Glo and Riverside based on facility needs, weather conditions and current projects.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS

Troubleshoot and complete everyday building repairs Repair doors, locks, handles, hinges and hardware Minor plumbing repairs, including toilets, faucets, drains, traps and leaks Troubleshoot lighting and basic facility issues Repair walls, ceilings, trim and other damaged areas Caulking, sealing and weatherization Preventative maintenance throughout all CRB properties

CARPENTRY & REMODELING

Basic framing and carpentry Drywall installation and repair Taping, mudding, sanding and finishing Interior and exterior painting Trim, molding and baseboards Cabinets and shelving Doors and hardware Minor flooring installation and repairs Room renovations and conversions Demolition and preparation for renovation projects Assist with apartment build-outs and other CRB construction/improvement projects

PROPERTY & EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE

Minor siding and exterior repairs Gutters and downspouts Sealing and exterior caulking Pressure washing Lawn mowing and weed trimming Landscaping and general grounds upkeep Seasonal cleanup and leaf removal Maintain the overall appearance of CRB properties

WINTER PROPERTY CARE

Snow removal Snow blowing and shoveling Salting and ice control Maintain safe sidewalks, entrances and access areas Respond to winter weather needs, including early morning or emergency situations when necessary

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

This position isn't just about waiting for something to break. You will routinely inspect our properties and identify repairs and improvements before they become bigger problems. Responsibilities may include checking HVAC filters, plumbing, lighting, doors and locks, appliances, flooring, walls, ceilings, water intrusion, weatherization, exterior conditions, drainage and other building components.

PROJECTS & RENOVATIONS

Some weeks may involve numerous small repairs. Other weeks may be spent primarily working on a larger renovation or improvement project. CRB has ongoing property improvement needs, including an upcoming apartment renovation/build-out, facility upgrades, painting, flooring, remodeling and other projects.

OTHER HANDS-ON PROJECTS

Assemble furniture and equipment Install shelving and storage systems Mount TVs, signs, pictures and bulletin boards Move furniture/equipment when necessary Complete miscellaneous property projects as needs arise

CONTRACTOR & PROJECT COORDINATION

We don't expect one person to be a licensed plumber, electrician, HVAC technician and roofer! When work is beyond your qualifications or requires a licensed professional, you will help identify the problem, obtain estimates when requested, coordinate approved contractors, schedule access, monitor completion and ensure the problem has been corrected.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT CRB

Services currently has a selection of maintenance tools and equipment available for this position and will work with the selected candidate to identify additional tools or equipment needed to successfully perform the job. Candidates who already have their own general hand tools or specialty tools that they are comfortable using are welcome to utilize them when appropriate, but owning a complete set of tools is not required for the position. We want the right person for the job and are willing to invest in reasonable tools and equipment needed to properly maintain our properties and complete approved projects. The Facilities & Projects Manager will also be responsible for keeping CRB-owned tools organized, maintaining an inventory, reporting damaged or missing equipment and ensuring tools and supplies are properly cared for.

SAFETY & EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Our Facilities & Projects Manager will help identify and address physical property concerns such as trip hazards, loose railings, damaged flooring, water intrusion, malfunctioning locks and other facility safety issues. This position will also serve as a primary facilities contact when urgent building problems arise.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a well-rounded, hands-on individual with broad experience who can independently complete most everyday repairs, maintenance, remodeling and property-improvement projects while also knowing when something needs to be turned over to a licensed contractor or specialized professional.

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, remodeling, property maintenance or a related skilled trade preferred Broad knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring and general repairs Basic plumbing and building-maintenance knowledge Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Comfortable with lawn care and winter property maintenance Experience safely operating common hand and power tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Ability to prioritize urgent repairs while keeping larger projects moving Attention to detail and pride in workmanship Dependable, organized and self-motivated Ability to recognize when a project requires a licensed or specialized professional Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to travel between CRB locations We need someone who
