None Job Duties Fulfill rotating on-call schedule as requested by the Director of Building Services or supervisory personnel. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and building systems function properly and buildings are maintained. Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform maintenance on building equipment and machinery. Use various tools, including hand and power tools, and electrical testing devices. Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions using blueprints and manuals. Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions. Clean and lubricate machinery parts such as shafts, bearings, and gears. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using appropriate tools. Plan and layout repair work using diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance manuals. Request or obtain parts, supplies, and equipment from storerooms. Paint and maintain buildings, including walls, roofs, windows, and doors. Operate lift equipment for maintenance repairs. Maintain and repair specialized equipment in classrooms and other campus buildings. Fabricate and repair counters, benches, walls, and other structures. Estimate repair and maintenance costs. Complete work-order checklists accurately and timely. Manage associated paperwork (invoices, work orders, project lists) in accordance with college policy. Provide building services support to Campus Building Services Managers and staff as needed. Assist and provide backup for other Building Services activities as needed. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Building Services or supervisory personnel.
