Order Puller/Customer Assistant 189 S. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks using a forklift or manually by hand. Have a basic understanding of the materials and products the company carries as well as their location in the store. Pick orders in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards. Count and verify orders and shipments onto or from pallets and shelves by hand or through use of material handling equipment (ex., forklift or by hand), checking the invoice against items received. Ensures proper stock rotation and appropriate stock on hand. Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise. Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables.

Physical activities include:

standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and turning for extended periods of time in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, cold, and any other conditions that may occur. Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally throughout the shift. Carry and load customer purchases. Keep the store and storage yard clean and orderly. Maintain a checklist on the forklift and delivery truck.

Qualifications:

Forklift experience and/or warehouse experience preferred. Good attendance and punctuality Detail-oriented and extremely reliable. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must pass pre-hire physical, including lift test.
