Marine Forklift Operator / Marina Operations We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Marine Forklift Operator / Marina Operations Associate to join our marina team. This is a hands-on position responsible for safely moving and launching boats, assisting customers, maintaining boats and marina grounds, pumping fuel, and helping with day-to-day shop operations. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working outdoors, around boats and water, can operate heavy equipment safely, enjoys working with customers, and isn't afraid to jump in and help wherever needed. Weekends are mandatory. This is a physical, hands-on job that requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced marina environment. ResponsibilitiesBoat & Marina Operations Safely operate a marine forklift to move, launch, retrieve, and store boats. Pick up and deliver boats to and from the water as directed. Safely maneuver boats and equipment within the marina. Perform daily inspections of forklifts and equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with general marina operations and boat handling. Follow all marina, equipment, and safety procedures. Boat Cleaning & Maintenance Clean boats before and after use. Wash and pressure wash boats and marina equipment as needed. Assist with keeping docks, storage areas, and work areas clean and organized. Empty trash and maintain clean customer and employee areas. Perform general cleaning of the shop, bathrooms, grounds, and other marina facilities. Assist with basic upkeep and maintenance around the property. Fueling & Customer Service Safely pump fuel for customers and marina boats. Assist customers with launching, retrieving, and general marina needs. Help customers locate and purchase boating supplies, parts, accessories, and other items in the shop. Operate the cash register/POS system and accurately process customer purchases. Answer customer questions and provide friendly, helpful service. Maintain a professional and welcoming attitude with customers at all times. General Duties Stock and organize merchandise and supplies. Receive, unload, move, and organize deliveries and materials. Assist with various marina projects and tasks as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Marine forklift or heavy equipment experience required/preferred , depending on experience level. Previous marina, boating, forklift, construction, landscaping, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a marine forklift and other equipment. Strong attention to safety and detail. Comfortable working outdoors in hot weather and around water. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials and equipment as needed. Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of tasks. Good communication and customer service skills. Basic computer/POS and cash-handling skills are a plus. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled . What We're Looking For We need someone who understands that working at a marina means wearing a lot of hats . One minute you may be operating the marine forklift to retrieve a customer's boat, the next you may be fueling a boat, cleaning a vessel, helping a customer find a life jacket in the store, running the register, or pressure washing the grounds.
