Job Description/Summary Forklift Operators for the yard report directly to the Yard Manager and are responsible for loading and unloading materials, both incoming and outgoing of the facility. They are responsible for maintaining the workflow in the yard by preparing orders for shipment, storing materials, assisting in taking inventory, and operating the machinery required to safely transport materials.

Responsibilities:

Operate forklift, winches and other devices to load and unload materials Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments Assembling items for shipments Storing, stacking and palletizing items using a forklift Packing, checking and loading products accurately onto trailers, trucks and to and from designated areas Monitor and maintain inventory of incoming and outgoing items Follow inventory control instructions Reconfigure racking when needed Keep the yard clear and hazard-free Observe company rules and procedures for quality control and occupational health and safety All other duties as assigned Experience and License Requirements Ability to lift heavy objects, bend and stoop Ability to operate a forklift on rough terrain Ability to work in all climates of weather Attention to detail Excellent communication skills Forklift operation Must have a valid drivers license
