For 50 years, Potomac Valley Brick has been supplying architects, builders, contractors, developers and residential customers with the widest selection of quality brick and masonry products in D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. This is a full time forklift operator position working Monday - Friday. Join our great team at our Newington, Virginia location!Responsibilities and Skills:
Complete forklift safety training Practice safe operation of the forklift at all times All materials to be delivered must have correct documentation (load tickets, invoices, etc.) generated before loading onto trucks Ensure that all applicable information is on tickets or invoices such as job information, pallets, charges, credits, etc. Verify that all materials loaded on trucks is correct in quantity and type before delivering Know load capacities of trucks and ensure that materials are loaded safely and securely before departure All materials picked up by customers should be checked and verified before leaving PVB yard. This should be done by utilizing the yard supervisor, if possible and approved Create pallets of materials to put on trucks for delivery. Verify quantity, identity and quality of materials as material is placed on pallet for packaging. Create sand bags for customer sales. Perform necessary duties to keep yard organized and well stocked. Other duties as assignedBenefits:
