Responsibilities:
Monitor Kilns and adjust as needed. Forklifts load rough green packs on carts from rough green staging areas onto incoming kiln tracks. Straight, with correct height, date and product. Forklifts unload rough dry packs from carts on the outgoing kiln tracks and place dry decking under T sheds and wet packs on the hill. The Water from the kilns is pumped from the underground tank into trucks and hauled either to Chase city or Condensate Pond. The Ash from the Kilns is discharged into hoppers which forklifts dump into the dump truck and haul to staging area across road. Complete Forklift Inspections weekly. Fill out moisture sheets completely and correctly. Clean burners and Kiln as needed. Pick up and clean area /equipment as needed with the use of skid steers, loaders, dump truck and hand tools. Break out and fill in for sawmill forklift operator. Must be able to show up and work in all weather conditions. Grease Kiln carts and lifts as needed. Band all dry board packs as they exit the Kilns and place them in correct areas.
Candidate Requirements:
Strong Work Ethic. Ability to work more than 40 hours per week. Must be able to work weekends, days/nights and holidays. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and be on foot, not afraid of heights and enclosed spaces.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
