JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Development Team, the Corporate Giving Manager is essential to expanding funding and establishing new relationships with corporate partners. The Corporate Giving Manager will drive the effort to secure corporate gifts, grants, and sponsorships. The Manager will develop and implement strategies for identifying corporate prospects, cultivating donors, and maximizing gifts. The Manager will be primarily responsible for stewardship of EOC's corporate donor portfolio. The Manager is responsible for overseeing fundraising events including conception, planning, and execution. Essential Functions Manage the organizational strategy for identifying, engaging, cultivating and growing support from the corporate sector, resulting in increased philanthropic funding and greater organizational awareness and visibility Develop and keep accurate, ongoing record of prospective and received funding opportunities and initiate adjustments in anticipation of organization needs Attend networking or informational meetings and educational opportunities to build relationships with prospective corporate partners. This may require availability during evening hours. Manage fundraising events and support organization-wide events Corporate Relations Oversee a portfolio of existing relationships and identify, research, and set strategies to actively engage and secure new funders Manage EOC's fundraising events - including soliciting sponsorships for fundraising events Manage and grow support from prospective and current utility partners across Colorado through the SB1 Program Monitor and be responsive to current trends in Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance funding opportunities to help identify and grow corporate portfolio Strategize to identify, cultivate, write proposals and reports for corporate donors that will lead to annual and multiyear investments Prepare budgets for proposals and provide required reporting including financial reports and impact reports Manage and seek support through 3rd party corporate fundraising campaigns including but not limited to walks/runs, golf tournaments, concerts, and program fundraising events like Keep the Lights on Colorado Work with the CEO and the VP of Development to enlist the participation of board members and other volunteer leadership in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate support Maintain accurate information in EOC's database, recording donor communication and creating reports necessary to communicate to the team, etc. Develop and manage expense budgets for Corporate Giving and Events, tracking adherence to budgeted spending limits Conduct personal visits with corporate prospects and current donors Provide direction for the development of collateral materials, print, and online publications, as well as recruitment and recognition of corporate donors and event-related sponsorships Oher duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work with and through others internally and externally Ability to set and evaluate strategy for funding priorities Excellent communication skills Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with Raisers Edge or similar fundraising database. Discretion in handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, strategic and have superior interpersonal skills. They must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a bias toward execution. This person is motivated by meeting new people, building relationships and connecting companies to EOC's mission. We are looking for someone who is flexible and open to new ideas with the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate across disciplines Physical Demands/Working Conditions Valid Driver's License Required or the ability to be present to meet with prospects at various locations and at various times. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, talking, hearing, driving Work Environment Hybrid - Minimum of two-days/week in downtown Denver office.
