In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts to cultivate and steward donor relationships, develop compelling proposals, and implement innovative fundraising strategies. Your expertise in nonprofit management, data collection, and digital marketing will be essential in expanding our community impact. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with leadership to shape the organization's growth trajectory while engaging diverse stakeholders through impactful events and targeted outreach. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing our mission through effective relationship management and strategic planning. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals, including major gifts, planned giving, and grant proposals. Manage donor relations by cultivating relationships through personalized communication, stewardship events, and regular updates via email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact. Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring seamless coordination from concept to post-event follow-up. Oversee the maintenance of donor and alumni databases using CRM software like Salesforce and Raiser's Edge, ensuring accurate data collection and database management. Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other grant-making entities. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop digital marketing campaigns utilizing social media management tools, WordPress websites, and email marketing strategies to enhance visibility and engagement. Conduct research on potential funding sources, industry trends, and best practices in nonprofit development to inform strategic planning efforts. Negotiate sponsorships, partnerships, and donations by leveraging strong negotiation skills to maximize organizational benefits. Manage budgets related to development activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving fundraising targets. Support volunteer management efforts for fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience in nonprofit management or development roles with a focus on fundraising, donor relations, or alumni engagement. Strong background in event planning, including managing logistics for large-scale events from inception to execution. Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge; experience with Mailchimp or Constant Contact is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills for proposal writing, grant applications, reports, and marketing materials. Demonstrated ability in digital marketing strategies including social media management and email marketing campaigns. Skilled in relationship management with donors, volunteers, partners, and internal teams; adept at stewardship strategies that foster long-term support. Knowledge of nonprofit industry grant writing standards as well as estate planning concepts like wills and trusts is a plus. Ability to analyze data for effective decision-making; experience with data collection tools is essential. Strong negotiation skills combined with strategic planning capabilities to advance organizational priorities effectively. Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in fundraising or development are advantageous.
