Raise support. Change lives. Scouting Arizona is looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Development Officer to help grow philanthropic support for Scouting across Arizona. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, building trust, taking initiative, and seeing the results of their work. Fundraising experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with curiosity, confidence, persistence, and follow-through who wants to build a career in fundraising while making a meaningful difference for young people. What You'll Do As a front-line fundraiser, you will manage and grow a portfolio of 120+ current and prospective donors. With coaching and support from experienced development leaders, you will:
  • Identify and connect with prospective donors and build new relationships.
  • Meet with donors, business leaders, community leaders, alumni, and other supporters.
  • Discover what matters to people and connect their interests with opportunities to invest in Scouting.
  • Develop strategies to engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
  • Solicit philanthropic gifts, generally at the $2,000+ level.
  • Prepare and present proposals that connect donor interests with Scouting's impact.
  • Consistently achieve leading-indicator goals, including discovery attempts, meetings, and proposals.
  • Follow through on commitments and keep relationships moving forward.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records and next steps in Raiser's Edge NXT.

You may come from fundraising, sales, business development, recruiting, hospitality, financial services, account management, higher education, community engagement, or another relationship-focused field. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, build trust, stay organized, take action, and work toward measurable results. You will have meaningful responsibility from the start, including your own portfolio, meetings with donors, fundraising strategies, and the opportunity to see the impact of your work firsthand. Compensation & Benefits Starting annual compensation is $57,700, which includes a $51,700 annual salary plus car and phone allowance of $6,000 per year.

Work Location:
