Tiegerman is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our Development Team! In this vital role, you will lead efforts to secure funding by developing compelling grant proposals and managing the entire grant lifecycle. Your expertise in research, persuasive writing, and strategic planning will drive our organization's growth and impact. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects within the nonprofit sector, supporting community development and program expansion through successful grant funding initiatives. This is a part-time non-exempt position (15-20 hours/week) based out of our Glen Cove, NY location. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Identify and qualify new funding opportunities that align with the nonprofit's mission and strategic goals Write clear, compelling, and well-structured grant proposals, Letters of Interest (LOIs), and concept papers Build and maintain a grant database that contains pertinent information relative to grant writing which requires working closely with the program leadership and finance departments - evaluate metrics and project budgets Maintain a master calendar of all grant deadlines, application requirements, and deliverables Prepare narrative and financial reports for awarded grants, detailing how funds were utilized and the resulting impact Assist in cultivating and maintaining ongoing relationships with foundation officers and institutional donors Other duties assigned by

Supervisor Key Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience in fundraising, technical writing, or journalism is highly valued; familiarity with neurodiversity, special education, and/or programs serving individuals with developmental and language-based disabilities is a plus Proven experience in grant writing, proposal development, and grant management within nonprofit or community organizations Strong organizational skills to track multiple deadlines and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders Excellent research skills to identify new funding opportunities and analyze eligibility criteria Exceptional persuasive writing skills with the ability to translate complex program data into impactful, mission-drive narratives Ability to analyze funder guidelines and collaborate with finance teams to draft and manage project budgets Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Ability to proofread and edit complex documents for clarity, consistency, and professionalism Join us in making a difference that will directly contribute to expanding our programs and strengthening our mission-driven initiatives.
