General Manager — Fit Culture Pilates Redondo Beach, Torrance, San Pedro, CA Full-Time | Non-Exempt | $60,000-$74,000 annually Fit Culture Pilates is looking for an exceptionally organized, hands-on General Manager to support operations across our five South Bay studio locations. This is a dynamic, multi-location position for someone who loves wearing many hats and can confidently move between studio operations, customer service, staffing, sales, project management, programming, and administrative responsibilities. The General Manager serves as a central point of communication between ownership, employees, instructors, and clients and works closely with ownership to execute company priorities across all five studios. This role requires regular travel between our Redondo Beach, Torrance, and San Pedro locations and is best suited for someone who is highly responsive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working closely with an involved owner. Major business and operational decisions are made in collaboration with and subject to approval by ownership. What You'll Do Support day-to-day operations across all five Fit Culture Pilates studios and regularly work from multiple locations Serve as a central point of contact for employees, instructors, clients, and ownership Manage the company's primary customer-service email inbox and take ownership of client correspondence from initial contact through resolution Handle membership questions, billing concerns, cancellations, freezes, complaints, account issues, and customer-service escalations Maintain strong follow-through on open issues, projects, deadlines, and conversations to ensure important items don't fall through the cracks Coordinate employee and instructor schedules, coverage, schedule changes, and staffing needs across multiple locations Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance conversations, and ongoing staff communication in collaboration with ownership Help develop and maintain employee training materials, operational procedures, studio resources, and internal systems Support the development of fitness programming, class concepts, curriculum, and instructor training as the company grows Support membership sales, promotions, events, retention initiatives, and other revenue-driving projects Help plan and execute new programs, services, promotions, and company initiatives from concept through launch Support new studio openings and expansion projects, including operational setup, staffing, scheduling, supplies, equipment, systems, and opening logistics Coordinate projects across multiple locations and ensure company initiatives are implemented consistently Monitor studio cleanliness, organization, supplies, retail inventory, equipment, and overall presentation Coordinate maintenance needs, vendors, printing, purchasing, and other studio logistics Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise and communicate solutions and recommendations to ownership Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes and help develop solutions for ownership review and approval Assist with administrative projects and additional business needs as the company continues to grow Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys being the person who keeps things organized, remembers the details, follows through, and makes sure projects actually get completed. We're looking for someone who: Is extremely organized and naturally keeps track of deadlines, details, conversations, and outstanding tasks Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Is confident handling sensitive customer situations and communicating professionally with frustrated clients Can manage a high-volume inbox and multiple competing priorities without losing track of open items Has strong project-management skills and can take an initiative from idea through execution Is comfortable switching quickly between customer service, staffing, sales, programming, administrative work, and studio operations Is proactive, dependable, and known for strong follow-through Is adaptable and comfortable working in a growing small-business environment where priorities may shift Is comfortable receiving direction and working closely and collaboratively with an involved owner Understands that major operational and business decisions are made in collaboration with and subject to approval by ownership Is receptive to feedback and able to implement direction consistently across multiple locations Is confident communicating with employees while maintaining professionalism and discretion Is calm under pressure and able to troubleshoot problems in a customer-facing environment Is willing to be hands-on and jump in wherever needed Has reliable transportation and is comfortable regularly traveling between all five South Bay locations Has previous management experience; experience in fitness, wellness, hospitality, retail, or another service-based business is strongly preferred Experience with new-location openings, program development, training, or building operational systems is a plus About the Role This is not a traditional desk-based management position. The General Manager is highly involved in the day-to-day needs of the business and should enjoy being hands-on, communicating frequently, solving problems, managing projects, and keeping multiple locations organized and moving forward.
Compensation:
$60,000-$74,000 annually, non-exempt
