Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Marine Service Station General Manager to join our team based in Miramar, Florida. As an Marine Evacuation Systems Service General Manager, you'll have the exciting opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals and ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of Marine Evacuation Systems (MES) services. You will be at the forefront of our service operations, managing everything from scheduling and resource planning to optimizing processes and ensuring regulatory compliance. What You Can Expect from the Role Key responsibilities for the Marine Service Station General Manager role include but are not limited to: Perform timely Marine Service audit activity, review progress and provide actionable feedback to site operations teams to support process improvement. Lead a team of technicians and administrators in the delivery of MES services within the designated operational area. Work with Sales and Commercial colleagues to provide expert operational input towards bids and tenders; provide operational performance feedback to sales and commercial teams to support customer review process. Ensure effective employee engagement, performance review and positive application of people policies and activities. Perform periodic review of Marine Service customer demand patterns against overall geographic footprint, making recommendations for change as needed to manpower levels, skills mix, and training. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging best practices through continuing professional development, attending training or conferences and reading specialist media. Participate in the development of overall Marine Service operations strategy, providing appropriate challenges to test the viability of strategy and contributing creative ideas and insights to support the strategy formation process. Understand, uphold, and contribute to creating a safety-first culture within the organization. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment. Participate in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfil personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education. Prepare marine service staff work schedules and assign duties. Review Marine Service staff performance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies. Ensure the necessary equipment, tools and spares to conduct the service work are always available to the service teams, to avoid any interruption in the operations Secure all necessary logistics arrangements to move equipment and personnel between vessels and service shops Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining a safety-first culture. Engage in customer demand review to align team capacity with changing needs and support strategic planning for overall service operations. Oversee scheduling and coordination of both workshop and onboard service activities, ensuring optimal efficiency and meeting customer demands. Manage full cycle personnel operations, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Ensure equipment, tools, and spares are available to service teams, avoiding interruptions in operations. Plan manpower requirements based on customer demand, managing the budget and recommending appropriate staffing levels. Implement continuous process improvements in collaboration with OEM partners, driving standardization and efficiency across the service footprint.

About You:
Essential criteria: Master's degree in marine engineering, Nautical Science, or a closely related field. Project Management or similar certification. Foreign education equivalent is acceptable. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience in service operations, project management, planning, and resource allocation, preferably within the maritime industry. Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities, with a talent for managing diverse teams in a high-volume, technical environment. Ability to handle complex information, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using computer systems and databases for operational planning. Strong communication skills to engage with various audiences and foster a collaborative team environment. Ability to work irregular hours and travel as required by customer schedules. 6-Sigma green belt.
