up to $20.00 per hour, based on experience Position Overview As the Assistant Store Manager , you will play a vital role in the day-to-day success of our Tide Cleaners Valrico location. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for supporting and training the Customer Service Team, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations, and upholding our commitment to exceptional garment care and customer satisfaction. In addition to your leadership duties, you will oversee the garment intake and inspection process, ensuring all items meet our quality and fabric care standards before processing. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will be expected to lead by example, promote operational efficiency, and help build a positive team culture centered around service excellence. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of support and guidance for the Customer Service Team Provide support with front-of-house customer service during peak or high-traffic periods as needed Cross-train Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) on basic back-of-house functions such as racking and assembly Assist with back-of-house operations (e.g., assembly, racking) as needed based on business demands Train, coach, and assist front desk staff in garment detailing and intake procedures Communicate with customers or staff regarding special requests or garment care concerns Inspect garments for stains, damage, or special care instructions Determine and apply the correct cleaning method (dry cleaning, wet cleaning, spot treatment) Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and efficiently Pre-treat stains using appropriate chemicals and techniques Accurately tag, track, and manage customer garments to ensure proper return Support resolution of lost item cases and identify garments requiring extended cleaning time Perform quality checks to maintain Tide Cleaners' garment care standards Keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols Assist with preparing cleaned garments for customer pick-up or delivery Follow all chemical handling and safety guidelines Perform additional duties as assigned by upper management Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently Ability to stand for extended periods of time Strong communication and leadership skills Knowledge of fabric care and garment handling preferred Dry Cleaning experience Positive attitude and a team-focused mindset Availability to work an average of 35-40 hours per week, including one Saturday per month.
