Executive Director Answers to:
Board of Directors Job Summary :
Responsible for all administrative matters: Employ and Supervise all employees of Webster Council on Aging. Prepare and submit four (4) year plan of services for elderly for Webster Parish. Prepare annual budget for Board of Directors approval and administer it. Make certain all expenditures are within approved budget. Prepare and advertise bid specifications for services provided for the elderly including: congregate meals, home delivered meals, homemaker, transportation and legal. Bids for the above services shall be presented to the Board of Directors for their action. Keep Board informed on all matters concerning the delivery of services to the elderly. Serve as Ex-officio (non-voting) member of Board of Directors of Webster Council on Aging, all standing and ad hoc committees. Work with other service providing agencies when in interest of the elderly. Supervise Ombudsman. Make application for any grants available to enhance services for the elderly. Cooperate with Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation, Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Association, American Heart Association, etc. Keep elected officials informed of concerns and services being provided the elderly. Seek cooperation and support from the Police Jury, Town and City Councils. Serve as 504 Coordinator. Microsoft office proficiency and knowledge of Wellsky. Other assigned responsibility . Commensurate with the demands of the position.
Experience :
Minimum of two years working with the elderly or service agency. Minimum of one year in a supervisory position.
Knowledge or Skills :
Developing administering budgets. Capable of preparing oral and written reports. Courteous, warm and responsive. Ability to relate to the elderly and their problems. Be sensitive to physical and personality changes in clients and inform the family of these changes immediately.
Salary Range:
$60,000 to $70,000
Overview Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
