The business manager is responsible for both financial and human resource records/reports.
Qualifications of the business manager:
1. Should have an associate degree or higher in accounting or business from an accredited college/university. 2. Must be proficient in accounting as well as information systems and computer networking; computer programming highly desirable. 3. Should be competent in conflict resolution and have leadership/supervisory skills.
Responsibilities of the business manager:
35% Accounting and Insurance Claims
- Maintain company's accounts payable transactions and monitor cash flow
- Focus on accounts receivable transactions and the timely processing of insurance claims.
- Payroll calculation and distribution.
- Calculate quarterly and year end employment taxes.
- Monthly financial statements.
- Assist with audit.
- Assist Executive Director with development of operating budget; long range forecasts.
- Focus on accounts receivable transactions and the timely processing of insurance claims.
- Receipt payments of services and calculate deposits.
- Process credit card payments and refunds. 30% Human Resources
- Serve as the agency's human resources specialist.
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Maintain, enroll and terminate employees in offered fringe benefit programs.
- Perform new employee background checks and four-year renewals.
- Schedule and record employee training requirements (DHS 83 Schedule and Log).
- Notify insurance contracts of staff changes and assist with credentialing process. 20% Client and Employee Safety
- Serves as agency compliance officer with respect to building maintenance, overall client safety and DHS 83 implementation.
- Supervises employees in the area of building maintenance and overall client and employee safety.
- Supervises employees that are responsible for client transportation and food preparation. 15% Regulation Compliance
- Assist with records room maintenance and HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Work environment involves no physical risks or hazardous conditions. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort is required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Pay:
$51,382.37 - $61,879.84 per year
