Job Description

at Emergency Management Agency in Springfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Essential Functions Under direction, serves as a Preparedness Grant Analyst for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security. Develops, implements, and monitors grant program budgets in accordance with federal, state and agency requirements. Prepares and submits required grant documentation and reporting and consults with federal cognizant agencies on grant programs as required by federal grant requirements. Analyzes applicable federal and state statutes, regulations and grant policies and recommends modifications of agency policies and procedures to agency management based on new requirements and best practices. Gives presentations on grant program requirements and administration. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Specialized Skills Requires one (1) year of working knowledge regarding the grant administration of federal pass-through funds, grant budgeting and federal grant reporting requirements. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration. Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
