Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Grant & Foundation Consultant supports Bothwell Regional Health Center (BRHC) by identifying, securing, and stewarding philanthropic funding that advances the hospital's strategic priorities, community health initiatives, and capital needs. This role provides expert guidance on grant development, foundation relations, and donor‑supported programs, ensuring BRHC maximizes external funding opportunities while maintaining compliance, transparency, and strong community trust. The Grand & Foundation Consultant reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration required. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, foundation relations, nonprofit development, or healthcare philanthropy.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES
Research and identify federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities aligned with BRHC's mission and community health priorities. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to gather data, define project scopes, and establish measurable outcomes. Ensure all proposals align with BRHC's strategic plan, compliance requirements, and financial sustainability. Support BRHC Foundation donor stewardship, annual giving initiatives, and campaign‑related grant opportunities. Monitor rural health funding trends, HRSA opportunities, and foundation priorities to inform leadership recommendations. Support community engagement efforts that enhance BRHC's visibility and credibility with funders.

Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office setting. No exposure to extremes in temperature, lighting or noise. Requires prolonged sitting. Requires frequent keyboarding. Significant time spent looking at computer monitor.
