$19.96/hour - $26.41/hour The State of New Hampshire, NH Department of Corrections has a part-time, vacancy for a Grants & Contracts Technician.
Summary:
Monitors grant and contract activities by working with project managers to ensure that proper procedures and compliance, from application to final reporting, and payment, are achieved.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in business or public administration, accounting, grants or contracts processing, or business management or related field.
License/Certification:
None Other Requirements:
Must pass security and background screenings required for correctional environments.
Trainee Option:
Candidates with an equivalent combination of 2+ years of relevant education and experience after completion of high school may be considered and hired in 'trainee status' for this position.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates with respective grant project managers and other Department employees to ensure compliance with procedures are properly implemented, as required, for the fiscal management of grant programs. Documents and tracks all grant project expenses, including matching funds, and reviews requests for payments to ensure compliance with contract/grant terms. Prepares and assists grant managers in preparing acquisition requests for grant-funded products, services and activities. Analyzes grant expenditure data and prepares fiscal projections, as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports, and makes recommendations to assure that expenditures are kept within budget. Provides monthly financial reports to grant managers, keeping grant project managers informed regarding the financial status of their projects.
