Job Description

Serve as the primary coordinator and convener of the WPDI Regional Response Team funded through a $2 million Workforce Professionals in Digital Infrastructure (WPDI) Grant; serves as the lead to coordinate a consortium of community colleges and workforce development partners throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania to develop and implement workforce strategies; lead and facilitate meetings with consortium partners, workforce development boards, educational institutions, labor organizations, employers, government agencies, and community stakeholders to plan and execute a regional workforce development strategy to ensure a skilled workforce for in-demand occupations; build and maintain strong relationships with employers, labor organizations, educational institutions, workforce development boards, Career and Technical Centers, secondary schools, and community partners; lead development and implementation of a comprehensive project management and evaluation framework to ensure project activities align with project deliverables, current and emerging regional workforce priorities; assist in identifying opportunities for short-term and long-term regional workforce capacity building beyond the 36 month grant period; ensure compliance with all grant requirements, regulations, financial reporting obligations, and contractual agreements while monitoring project progress and ensure all grant benchmarks, objectives, and outcomes are achieved; conduct ongoing assessment of project effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement strategies; identify workforce trends, labor market needs, and opportunities for regional responsiveness and promote awareness of educational and workforce opportunities available throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania; review project expenditures and recommend adjustments as necessary to support project goals; utilize data to support decision-making and strategic planning efforts.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required; Master's Degree preferred Experience
  • Five (5) years of administrative experience in an educational or business environment, with demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in project research, planning, and management Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with faculty, staff, students, organizations, and public; demonstrated in-depth and current knowledge of education, economic, and workforce development initiatives and resources; proven ability to compile, analyze, and interpret research data and present data in tabular, pictorial, and graphic formats; excellent analytical, organizational, marketing, and planning skills with the ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects simultaneously; experience performing effectively in a broad range of environments including academic, government, and business settings.
