Full Job Description Job Summary :
The Foundation & Grants Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing the organization's grant funding portfolio through strategic research, proposal development, relationship management, and reporting. This position plays a critical role in securing foundation, corporate, and government funding to support organizational programs and initiatives. The Foundation & Grants Manager works closely with program and development staff to collect data, measure outcomes, maintain compliance, and ensure excellent stewardship of funding partners. This position plays a vital role in advancing the organization's mission by securing and sustaining funding that supports programs, services, and long-term growth.
Duties/Responsibilities :
  • Research, monitor, and prioritize foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop, submit, and manage grant proposals, applications, letters of inquiry, reports, renewals, and compliance materials.
  • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure timely submissions, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Build and steward relationships with fundraising partners through meetings, site visits, regular communications, impact updates, and required reports.
  • Develop strategies to grow foundation support year over year.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage program data to support grant applications, outcomes reporting, funder updates, and impact summaries.
  • Collaborate with program staff to track performance metrics, demonstrate effectiveness, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain accurate grant, donor, and CRM records and prepare reports, dashboards, and analytics to track revenue, pipeline activity, and funding trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, public administration, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in grant writing, grant management, fundraising or related nonprofit experience.
  • Experience managing donor portfolios and annual giving programs strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success by securing foundation, corporate, and government grant funding.
  • Strong writing editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting, program outcomes and impact data.
  • Proficiency with donor databases, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands:
  • Most functions are performed while seating at a desk or standing up
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds

Work Schedule:
  • Monday—Thursday 8:00—5:30 and Friday 8-12
  • Weekends and evenings when necessary.
