Inventory Lead The Green Door SF San Francisco, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $23 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Operations management Attention to detail Warehouse experience Loss prevention Internal audits Full Job Description The Green Door is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of cannabis and non-cannabis inventory at our dispensary. The Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and reconciling deliveries, monitoring product movement, investigating discrepancies, coordinating stock levels, and ensuring inventory procedures comply with applicable state and local cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a highly regulated environment, takes ownership of inventory accuracy, and can build efficient processes while collaborating closely with management, purchasing, compliance, and retail staff. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day inventory operations for cannabis products, accessories, and other retail merchandise. Receive incoming deliveries and verify products against manifests, purchase orders, invoices, quantities, and applicable tracking records. Maintain accurate inventory within the dispensary's POS and state-required cannabis track-and-trace systems. Perform regular cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and reconciliations. Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and promptly communicate significant issues to management. Maintain organized, secure, and compliant inventory storage areas. Monitor inventory levels and help prevent stockouts, overstocking, and unnecessary aging inventory. Track damaged, defective, expired, returned, quarantined, and otherwise unsellable products according to company procedures and applicable regulations. Coordinate with purchasing and management regarding product needs, inventory levels, sell-through, and receiving schedules. Maintain accurate documentation related to transfers, adjustments, returns, destruction, and other inventory activity. Support product launches, promotions, price changes, and menu updates by ensuring inventory information is accurate. Assist with internal and regulatory audits and maintain inventory records in audit-ready condition. Develop and maintain inventory SOPs and help train employees on proper inventory-handling procedures. Work closely with retail leadership to improve inventory accuracy, loss prevention, organization, and operational efficiency. Follow all company policies and applicable cannabis regulations. Qualifications Must meet all state and local requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis business. 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, retail operations, or inventory-control experience preferred. Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred. Previous experience with cannabis track-and-trace systems, inventory management software, and/or retail POS systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify their root causes. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and inventory data. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment. Dependable, professional, and able to handle sensitive inventory information responsibly. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in inventory rooms, storage areas, and on the retail floor as needed. Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or outside normal business hours for inventory counts and deliveries.

$21.00 /hour +
