John's Island Club is looking for a seasonal full-time Purchasing Attendant. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring our operations run smoothly by receiving, unpacking, inspecting, and verifying incoming products for the Club. You will also help maintain organized storage areas, keep accurate records, compile stock reports, and prepare items for shipment.

Essential Job Functions:

Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents to ensure accuracy. Document and report damages, shorts or other delivery issues to management. Transport supplies and various good in a safe and efficient manner while operating Club vehicles and other equipment. Label and date-stamp products before storing. Rotate and stock using the First-in, First-out inventory method. Maintain a clear and organized work area, including Club vehicles, carts, loading docks, freezers, coolers and storage rooms. Create and process shopping lists, transfers, requisitions and purchase orders with the inventory management system. Performs daily and monthly inventory counts.

Licensure/Certification:

Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (Florida license required within 30 days of residency).

Special Working Conditions:

Works inside and outside, with potential exposure to extreme environmental conditions, exhaust fumes, chemicals, corrosives, and various hot or cold temperatures. Must be able to lift 5-70 lb. packages. Able to perform repetitive tasks. Able to stand, walk, and reach for long periods of time on a daily basis. Able to bend, stoop and crouch daily on a regular basis. Weekend and holidays will be worked on a fair rotating basis. Overtime is scheduled as needed.
