Who we are The Hemp Collect is a federally compliant hemp-derived cannabinoid manufacturer in Canton, NC. We run our own lab, production, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping under one roof, and we're hiring an Inventory Associate to keep components and materials moving to the floor. What you'll do This is a cross-trained, hands-on role. Your primary job is components and kitting — building and staging the material sets that feed production so the line never waits. Beyond that, you'll rotate across cycle counting, physically receiving raw materials, and order picking when fulfillment needs coverage. If you like being the person who can step into any part of an inventory operation, this is that seat. You will transact in Katana, our MRP and warehouse system. Every move you make gets recorded. We are rebuilding inventory accuracy from the system of record up, and we need someone who understands that a transaction skipped today is a variance someone hunts for next month. Pull, build, and stage component kits to production schedules; verify counts and part numbers before handoff Transact all material movements in the MRP system accurately and in real time — issues, receipts, transfers, adjustments Run scheduled and spot cycle counts; investigate and document variances rather than just correcting them Physically receive incoming raw materials: unload, verify against PO and packing list, inspect for damage, label, and put away to location Pick, stage, and pack orders for B2B and DTC fulfillment as volume requires Keep locations, labeling, and staging areas organized to facility standard Flag shortages, discrepancies, and mislabeled inbound to the Inventory Control Manager before they hit production What we require 2+ years in a manufacturing or production environment (not retail stockroom, not general parcel warehouse) Hands-on experience transacting in an MRP, ERP, or WMS — Katana, NetSuite, Fishbowl, Odoo, Cin7, SAP, Epicor, or similar. Katana itself is trainable; the discipline of working inside a system is not. Demonstrated experience with cycle counting and variance research Comfortable with barcode scanners, basic spreadsheets, and following written SOPs exactly Able to reliably commute to Canton, NC daily. This role cannot be performed remotely. 21 years of age or older Nice to have Forklift certification (or willingness to certify — we train and track certifications in-house) Kitting or BOM-driven material staging experience Prior work in a GMP, food-grade, or regulated manufacturing environment Physical requirements Repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs throughout a shift. Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Closed-toe shoes required on the floor; hair nets and PPE required in production and lab areas. No jewelry on hands or arms while working. About working here We're founder-led and self-owned — no VCs, no private equity. We hire, train, and build champions. We're generous, not naive: real trust, real training, real growth paths, and clear expectations about what good looks like. You'll get a 30-day check-in, a 60-day progress review, and a formal 90-day evaluation against defined KPIs. You will always know where you stand. The Hemp Collect is an equal opportunity employer.
