The Warehouse Inventory Associate is responsible for assisting in all aspects of inventory management which include unloading/loading of trucks, using inventory management software, movement of food product, and other assigned duties.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Assist in the total inventory management including the receival, storage, movement, and distribution of food product using inventory management software
Responsible for the unloading of received product, counting and verification of received product.
Assist in the accuracy of inventory by conducting and/or overseeing cycle counts reporting any discrepancies to the Inventory Manager.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of incoming product, shipped product, transferred product and disposal of waste. Conduct and/or oversee frequent checks for opened/broken cases, damaged product, miscoded product as well as product disposal logs.
Assist in the efficient movement of product (inventory turns) and proper storage and distribution of dated products (FIFO, FEFO).
Responsible for proper handling and storage of all products including order picking, receiving, transferring, and transforming of product.
Assist with picking product for agency orders as needed and loading of agency vehicles.
Collaborate and assist with the scheduling and management of inbound shipments.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities :
Education :
High School Diploma or GED.
Certifications :
Serv Safe
Experience :
Minimum 4+ years' experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or any related experience.
Skills :
Must have strong computer skills (intermediate level) with experience using inventory software and
demonstrated proficiency within Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of volunteers, staff, and visitors.
Demonstrated success in multi-tasking, problem solving, and team building skills.
Must be organized, accurate and efficient in performing work duties and able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in warehouse safety.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hands-on physical work environment with varying temperatures in the
warehouse dependent on season.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the use of a forklift.
Ability to frequently operate manual pallet jacks with the ability to manage loads more than 2000 lbs. which includes pushing and pulling of product throughout the warehouse.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
Food safety knowledge preferred.
Must pass a Background Check and a drug screening.
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record to meet insurance recommendations.

Physical Requirements:
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
Required to frequently lift and transport 50 + lbs.
