Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Filler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and inventory management. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will help us maintain efficient warehouse operations while delivering exceptional service to our customers. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork, precision, and safety are at the forefront of daily activities. Duties Operate various warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools to efficiently pick and move inventory. Use barcode scanners and RF (radio frequency) scanners to accurately track inventory and process orders within the warehouse management system. Select items from designated storage locations based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy in quantity and product type. Pack products securely using proper packaging techniques to prevent damage during transit, adhering to quality control standards. Load and unload shipments safely using heavy equipment while following all safety protocols and PPE (personal protective equipment) guidelines. Maintain organized stock areas by stocking shelves, replenishing inventory, and ensuring easy access for order picking. Conduct regular inventory counts, update records in inventory management systems, and assist with shipping & receiving processes to ensure stock accuracy. Follow safety procedures diligently during all warehouse operations, including manual handling and heavy lifting tasks, to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems is advantageous. Experience in order fulfillment, picking & packing, shipping & receiving within a distribution or warehouse environment is desirable. Familiarity with barcode scanning for logistics purposes and RF scanner technology is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling is essential. Previous warehouse experience involving manual handling, heavy lifting, or working with heavy equipment will support success in this role.
