job summary: Spherion is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Fulfillment Specialist to join our team in Auburn, WA. In this role, you will play a key part in processing inventory fulfillment, assembling custom kits, and preparing orders for shipment within our facility. This is an active, fast-paced position that combines physical product handling with warehouse equipment operation, requiring routine lifting, standing, and precision order picking.
responsibilities:
Inventory & Order Fulfillment:
Work quickly and safely to process inventory fulfillment, inquiry requests, custom kit assembly, and receipt of inventory according to established procedures.
Order Prep & Packaging:
Build boxes, stuff and seal envelopes, collate materials, use tape guns and box cutters, and prepare items for outbound shipment.
Equipment & Tool Operation:
Safely operate small warehouse machinery (scales, folders, cutters, binders) as well as manual material handling tools like pallet jacks and carts.
Data Recording:
Clearly and accurately record shift details, inventory counts, and order information on documents and in software applications.

Quality & Safety Compliance:
Catch errors before they happen, help maintain high quality standards, and adhere to all facility safety rules, including wearing mandatory protective footwear.
skills:
Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, assembly, or light industrial environment.
Comfort using basic computer systems, scales, and small processing machines.
Familiarity with safely operating manual material handling tools (pallet jacks, heavy carts).
Strong attention to detail when reading orders, finding specific catalog items, and following order instructions.
qualifications:
Physical Capability:
Endurance to walk and stand for up to 8 hours per shift, with the physical strength to push/pull carts and pallet jacks weighing up to 1,500 lbs.
Heavy Lifting:
Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing 35-40 lbs (and occasionally up to 51 lbs, including at shoulder height).
Communication & Teamwork:
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English, while maintaining a positive attitude independently and in a team setting.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Footwear Requirement:
Must possess or acquire steel-toe or composite-toe protective footwear meeting
ASTM F2413-11
safety standards with a "Better or Best" slip-resistant rating.
