Job Description
Overview Senior Air Force item-management, inventory, or supply-planning professional with at least eight years of directly relevant experience and an active final Secret clearance. Responsibilities Develop and execute inventory management strategies using advanced ERP systems and warehouse management software to ensure optimal stock levels across multiple locations. Analyze data from various sources such as SQL databases, Power BI dashboards, Tableau, Nielsen reports, and Excel spreadsheets to identify trends, forecast demand, and inform procurement decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, merchandising, logistics, and production planning to coordinate sourcing activities and streamline supply chain processes. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or stockouts, implementing process improvements to prevent recurrence. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable pricing, contracts, and delivery terms that align with company goals. Manage logistics inventory activities such as shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and stock replenishment to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau for reporting on inventory performance metrics and supply chain analytics, providing actionable insights for leadership. - Independent performance and ability to assist less-experienced Government personnel.
