The Inventory Coordinator position is critical to West Music's success in encouraging people of all ages and abilities to: Play now. Play for life by maintaining accurate and organized instrument and accessory stock and inventory for the Educational Sales Division. This position is vital to West Music meeting the needs of thousands of instrument rental customers each year by accurately monitoring stock levels, processing inter-store transfers, and quickly filling rental instrument orders for local schools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain the rental instrument warehouse - ensures correct preparation, placement, and labeling of all stocked items. Monitors the Mezzanine master calendar for seasonal events. Assists in processing transfers and receipts for mezzanine and Urbandale store inventory Ensures proper quantities of books, accessories, and supplies are maintained and organized. Works with purchasing departments within the Urbandale facility to monitor stock levels of items in warehouse. Reviews stock levels daily and communicated with appropriate departments when items are running low. May review and fill items off the company "wait lists" for rental/purchase instruments. Assists in preparing instruments and materials for transport to instrument rental displays and checks in returning supplies. Works with on line leases/rentals. Will prep online orders and will process online rentals and returns. Cleans and organizes warehouse items and maintains warehouse facilities. Maintains work station and warehouse cleanliness. Provides additional support to Road Office and team as necessary. Processes incoming materials from vendors Reflects the values of West Music and demonstrates passion for our mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements:

Education, Experience & Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with experience in prioritizing and juggling multiple tasks and demands while meeting deadlines. Detail oriented and ability to prioritize and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Possess effective communication skills which reflect active listening, critical thinking, and a customer-focused tone. Must have the ability to speak, write, and communicate ideas to a variety of audiences in a clear, concise manner. Superior organization and follow up skills to ensure responsibilities and goals are met within defined deadlines. Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments and with both internal and external customers and resources. Effectiveness in the following organizational competencies: Translating mission, vision, and core values into organizational action. Proactive, collaborative work style Creating and innovating Anticipating and positively responding to change Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs required. High School diploma or equivalent
