Inventory Coordinator Manufacturing | Carol Stream, IL
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Pay:
$20.20/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Some flexibility on start/end times.
Overtime:
Occasional Saturday overtime may be needed for 2-4 hours, approximately once a month when additional coverage is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inventory Runner/Coordinator/Scheduler is a great entry point into a corporate career, combining organization, communication, problem-solving, and business operations. You'll work with production, scheduling, inventory, logistics, sales, and management to help keep everything running smoothly. You'll primarily work from an office setting , but will regularly interact with the production team on the floor. You'll help communicate updates, track progress, coordinate materials, and jump in when issues arise. You'll also be cross-trained across production coordination, inventory/material movement, and scheduling , giving you exposure to different areas of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Track daily production activity and communicate updates to internal teams. Maintain accurate production and order information. Review production paperwork and verify details before work begins. Confirm materials, quantities, measurements, and specifications are accurate. Communicate schedule changes and priorities to production teams. Identify and communicate potential delays, shortages, or other issues. Work with Sales and Logistics to coordinate order and delivery updates. Partner with Supply to ensure materials are available when needed. Track material movement and follow up on missing items. Monitor equipment downtime and communicate updates to the appropriate teams. Work directly with production employees to answer questions and communicate priorities. Support scheduling, supply, and management teams with daily coordination. Proactively identify problems and help find solutions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2+ years of experience in inventory, order processing, warehouse, retail, production, or a related environment preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, and formatting. Comfortable with basic math, measurements, percentages, and unit conversions. Strong attention to detail and organization. Positive, outgoing, and team-oriented personality. Strong communication and time management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change. Self-starter who enjoys taking initiative and solving problems.
