Know cars? Notice the details other people miss? We may have the job for you. Y-Yard Auto & Truck, Inc. is looking for an Automotive Vehicle Inventory Specialist to join our team. This isn't a traditional inventory job. You'll work with complete vehicles—identifying the parts and options they contain, evaluating condition, testing components, taking photos, and entering accurate information into our inventory system so those parts can be sold to customers across the country. If you have strong automotive knowledge, enjoy figuring out how vehicles are equipped, and take pride in getting the details right, we'd like to talk to you. What You'll Do Inventory parts and options from complete vehicles using a handheld and inventory software. Use VIN and vehicle information to identify correct applications and interchange options. Inspect parts and accurately document condition, damage, options, and identifying details. Start and run vehicles and test mechanical and electrical components when appropriate. Photograph vehicles and parts for inventory and online sales. Research unfamiliar options or components rather than guessing. Enter clear, accurate information that our sales, production, and eCommerce teams can rely on. Work independently while communicating with other departments when questions arise. We're Looking for Someone Who Has strong automotive knowledge and can confidently identify vehicle parts and components. Has mechanical experience and understands basic engine, drivetrain, electrical, and vehicle systems. Is comfortable using tablets, computers, and multiple software programs. Pays close attention to details and understands that accuracy matters. Is naturally curious and willing to research something when the answer isn't obvious. Can stay productive without someone constantly directing the next task. Communicates well and works as part of a team. Takes pride in doing the job right the first time.
