Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Job Description

ClearStaff in Villa Park are in search of candidates with a background in inventory management within a warehouse environment for our client located in Elmhurst, IL Overview of Position The Purchasing and Inventory Clerk supports the manufacturing facility by executing daily procurement tasks and maintaining precise inventory control. This role focuses on the "hands-on" administration of the supply chain processing orders, verifying deliveries, and performing physical counts to ensure the production team has the materials needed to stay on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, stock items, and custom components Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts and physical audits to maintain 100% inventory accuracy. Maintain organized records for vendor warranties, manufacturing specifications, and blueprints Partner closely with the production team to monitor stock levels and report potential shortages or delivery delays proactively Assist in evaluating vendor performance and research pricing and availability for new or alternative suppliers Update the inventory management system daily to reflect material usage, scrap, and new receipts. Coordinate and deliver replenishment inventory to production and other departments as needed Operate safely within a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, adhering to all OSHA regulations and PPE requirements. What Success Looks Like in This Role Maintains inventory accuracy at or near 100% with minimal discrepancies Proactively identifies potential stockouts before they impact production Demonstrates strong attention to detail in both system updates and physical counts Builds reliable, responsive relationships with vendors and internal teams Keeps purchasing and inventory records consistently accurate, organized, and audit-ready
Experience and Skills Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1-3 years in a warehouse, purchasing, inventory, or manufacturing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for tracking and basic analysis), and experience with inventory systems or ERP software. High level of accuracy in data entry and inventory counting Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear communication skills when working with vendors and internal production teams Ability to remain active on the production floor throughout the day Consistent attendance and flexibility to work additional hours based on production needs Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs. as needed Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift Ability to work in varying temperatures in a non-climate-controlled environment
Schedule:
7AM-3:30:

PM Monday to Friday Pay rate: Starting rate is $21.00/hr
