Job Description

Receiving & Inventory Coordinator Palimex Distributors Inc. - Itasca, IL Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5pm Palimex Distributors is looking for a dependable and organized Receiving & Inventory Coordinator who is comfortable working between the warehouse and office . This is a hands-on position. Part of the day will be spent in the warehouse receiving and checking incoming shipments, and part of the day will be spent in the office entering receiving information, reviewing paperwork, and communicating with purchasing and warehouse staff. Responsibilities Receive incoming vendor deliveries and verify shipments. Count and inspect products for shortages, damages, or incorrect items. Compare received merchandise against purchase orders and packing slips. Make sure quantities, item numbers, and products received are correct. Report shortages, damages, overages, and other receiving discrepancies. Enter received merchandise into the company computer system. Organize and maintain receiving paperwork. Communicate with the purchasing department regarding receiving issues. Work with warehouse staff to make sure received merchandise is properly identified and put away. Help research inventory discrepancies when needed. Follow up on open purchase orders and items that have not been received. Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area. Perform other warehouse or office duties as needed. What We're Looking For Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment . Basic computer skills and ability to learn our inventory system. Good attention to detail. Comfortable working with numbers, quantities, purchase orders, and paperwork. Able to communicate clearly with warehouse and office employees. Dependable and able to work independently. Previous receiving, inventory, warehouse, purchasing, or data-entry experience is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements This position requires regular walking between the office and warehouse, standing for periods of time, checking pallets and cases, and performing normal warehouse receiving activities. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is organized enough for the office but hands-on enough for the warehouse . This person should not be afraid to go onto the warehouse floor, check a shipment personally, solve a discrepancy, and then return to the office to properly document it in the system.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
