Job Description

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for a Inventory Control Specialist . The job location is at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head MD.
Scope of Performance:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring accountability of company and customer property, and supporting day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with inventory management systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials, equipment, and supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and databases. Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy. Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain inventory reports, metrics, and documentation. Issue materials, tools, and equipment to employees while maintaining proper accountability. Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and project teams to ensure inventory availability. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory items. Monitor stock levels and notify management of replenishment needs. Assist with shipping, receiving, packaging, and material movement as needed. Maintain compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and government property management regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience -
Required:
High school diploma or GED required. Two or more years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management. Experience using inventory management or ERP systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, both military and private industry
