Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies. Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records. Verifies and records computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Responsible for checking in Delivery Drivers, inspecting all returning trailers, verifying returned goods and damaged products and re-entering goods into inventory. Handles all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on produce and product spoiled. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and positively contribute to profit margin.
  • Check quality of produce and ensure poor quality product is removed before any customer purchases.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory level on a daily basis.
  • Sort through pallets for bad product.
  • Repack produce in a timely and efficient manner to reduce spoilage and lost inventory
  • Performs other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Required Experience:
6 - 12 Months ; Accounting, inventory accounting admin support or related area Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience; Accounting related courses
Preferred Experience:
1 - 2 Years; Accounting, inventory accounting admin support or related area
