Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for a contract opportunity in Miami, OK.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):
  • All employees must be able to read and follow instructions both written and oral
  • Strong attention to detail
  • General warehouse experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Physically move material from the warehouse to production areas
  • Work safely following all safety requirements.
  • examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage or ship in accordance with established SOP procedures and customer requirements.
  • Cycle counting of raw materials used in production process
  • Maneuvers picking cart or powered industrial truck to various locations throughout the facility to locate materials and fulfill orders.
  • Prepares accurate documentation requirements for packing and shipping of hazardous chemicals.
  • Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Verifies accurate storage conditions of products and notifies Supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise such as Can't Find, Expired Product, Breakage, and Out-Of-Stocks.
  • Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction maintain collaborative relationships and teamwork.
  • Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):
  • Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus
  • Up to 24 months of work experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
  • Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene, including labels and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
  • Flexibility/willingness to adapt to operational needs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced controlled environment with additional overtime as required
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
  • Lifts, carries, pulls, and pushes up to 40-70 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
  • Specific PPE is required, including gloves, hair & beard net, safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry, and the like
  • Steel toe shoes required for warehouse work

  • Accredited High School Diploma or
GED. WORK HOURS
