6 Month Contract to Hire Position Overview Medix is seeking an entry-level Warehouse Associate to support order picking, inventory control, and shipping operations at our client's Lewisville facility. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who is comfortable using computers, enjoys staying active, and brings strong attention to detail. You will help ensure medical-device products and materials are accurately tracked, organized, and prepared for shipment. Responsibilities Pick orders by locating and verifying the correct products and quantities. Organize and move inventory throughout the warehouse. Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records in computer systems. Verify inventory quantities, identify discrepancies, and assist with adjustments according to established procedures. Prepare and process outgoing shipments through FedEx and other carriers. Support shipment priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Safely operate pallet jacks, dollies, dock plates, and platform trucks after completing training. Follow inventory procedures, material-handling requirements, and applicable safety and quality guidelines. Complete required hazardous chemical training. Cross-train in other inventory control functions as needed. Qualifications Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Computer experience in a Windows environment. Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures. Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and make sound decisions regarding inventory discrepancies and shipment priorities. Willingness to learn different warehouse and inventory functions. Minimal previous warehouse experience required; this is an entry-level opportunity. Preferred Qualifications Shipping experience with FedEx or other carriers. Experience operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks. Familiarity with proper material-handling techniques. Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and reach overhead throughout most of the workday. Ability to lift, push, pull, and handle up to 40 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to frequently move objects weighing at least 15 pounds. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
