Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Driver Helper, where you will play a vital role in supporting delivery operations by assisting drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering goods efficiently and safely. This energetic position offers an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment focused on providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely deliveries. As a Driver Helper, you will work closely with experienced drivers to facilitate smooth route execution while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Responsibilities Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper manual handling and safe lifting practices. Helper must have some experience in appliance installation. Support the driver in navigating routes using mobile devices and GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries. Help with the safe operation of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries. Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety procedures during route driving. Help load and unload cargo from box trucks or personal vehicles, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure handling. Support warehouse operations by moving materials, organizing delivery items, and maintaining a clean work environment. Experience Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Experience in commercial driving, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles, is highly desirable. Prior delivery driver experience involving route driving and customer interaction is a plus. Appliance installation Ability to operate material handling equipment and heavy lifting techniques Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, weight handling in the workplace, and adherence to DOT regulations. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.
