Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Driver Helper and be an essential part of delivering exceptional service! In this energetic role, you will assist drivers in safely and efficiently transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and delivery driving within a fast-paced environment. Whether you're experienced in warehouse work or new to the field, your enthusiasm and commitment will make a difference every day. Duties Assist delivery drivers with loading, furniture assembly, unloading, and securing cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks Support route driving by helping to navigate routes efficiently and adhering to traffic regulations Safely lift and move heavy items following safe lifting practices to prevent injury Help load and unload packages from box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing friendly service and addressing any questions or concerns Operate mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication with dispatch Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and workplace safety protocols during daily operations Requirements Furniture assembly Early morning arrival 6 a.m. Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks or vans, is highly advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is a plus Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to traffic laws Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual transmission vehicles Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor Comfortable working with mobile devices for route management and communication purposes This role is paid and offers an exciting chance to develop your skills in delivery driving, warehouse operations, and customer service.
