Full Job Description Position Description:

ProTek Recycling, Incorporated is seeking driver helpers to work on our pick-up crew collecting electronics from office buildings. Routes are to New York City, Boston and the NY Capital Region. Full time hours are worked over 4 workdays (no weekends) and three days off. Crews leave the warehouse at 5:30 am. Pickup routes are designed to get our crews in & out of the city before commuter traffic is typically heaviest.

Work Summary:

Remove electronic equipment from client offices using material handling equipment Give navigation guidance to pickup locations for the driver. Contact clients to confirm times, locations of entry points, building access requirements, security details, etc. Communicate with clients regarding the pick up. Document the materials picked up, and provide excellent customer service Use material handling equipment efficiently Load and pack the truck in an efficient and secure manner, labeling the equipment as per company policy Have problem solving skills, be professional, able to work as a team and be motivated individually When not performing pickups, this position will also work in the warehouse to help load and unload trucks, process inventory, disassemble equipment with basic power tools. This position will need to maintain quotas for warehouse work performed. Other tasks as asked by management Some shifts each week will report at 5am. A reliable method to get to work is required. Shifts lengths vary between 8 and 12 hours long. A standard workweek will be approximately 35 to 45 hours long over a 4-day work week. All interested applicants should submit a resume for review.

Requirements:

Prior experience in delivery/pickup industry (preferred) 18+ years old Customer Service experience Background Checks Drug screenings (non-marijuana) Able to lift, pull, push 75 lbs throughout the work shift Punctual and reliable: runs leave around 5am GED/HS Diploma About us ProTek Recycling is an electronic recycling company based in Watervliet, NY.
