Candidates must be safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable working in an active industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain fire watch during welding, burning, cutting, and other hot-work operations Monitor work areas for sparks, smoke, fire, and other potential hazards Keep required fire-extinguishing equipment nearby and ready for use Remain at the assigned post during hot work and for the required period afterward Assist skilled tradespeople with tools, equipment, and materials Perform general cleanup, debris removal, and housekeeping duties Follow all shipyard, OSHA, and company safety procedures Immediately report unsafe conditions or emergencies to supervision Perform additional general labor duties as assigned

Requirements:

Previous shipyard, industrial, construction, or general labor experience preferred Fire Watch certification or previous fire-watch experience is a plus Must be eligible to obtain or currently possess an active DBIDS credential Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screening Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working around loud equipment, confined spaces, heights, and changing weather conditions Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
