Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Site Logistics Coordinator to support logistics and supply chain operations at a chemical manufacturing facility in Axis, Alabama for a temp to hire opportunity.. This position is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments and inbound raw materials while ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. The Site Logistics Coordinator will work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, and other site teams to ensure finished goods are shipped on time and in full (OTIF) and incoming materials meet accuracy and quality requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing logistics, shipping coordination, SAP/MES, and domestic and international transportation. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments, including truck, rail, air, and ocean freight, as well as shipments involving off-site storage locations. Receive and process inbound raw materials within SAP and/or MES systems. Schedule shipments according to established business requirements and site procedures. Verify the accuracy of customer orders, deliveries, shipping paperwork, and related documentation. Develop, publish, and update daily and weekly shipping schedules. Adjust schedules based on changing customer priorities, production demands, material availability, and site resources. Identify and resolve shipping, inventory, and material discrepancies; escalate issues when necessary. Maintain required raw material documentation for Homeland Security compliance and audits. Assist with vendor invoice management and resolve goods-receipt discrepancies. Support the Supply Chain Manager and business teams with logistics and process-improvement initiatives. Assist with investigations involving internal or customer logistics issues. Maintain required DOT and IMDG certifications. Provide logistics and operational support during month-end closing activities. Participate in incident and near-miss investigations as needed. Follow all site health, safety, security, and environmental requirements. Perform additional logistics and supply chain duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations. Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred. Working knowledge of plant or production processes. SAP and/or MES experience preferred. Strong knowledge of shipping requirements, including domestic and international shipping. Experience coordinating multiple transportation modes such as truck, rail, air, and ocean freight is preferred. Strong organizational, scheduling, and planning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, vendors, and other departments. Strong attention to detail, particularly with orders, inventory, shipping documentation, and system transactions. Ability to independently prioritize responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.
