Description Under the general direction of the Director of Samford Abroad and International Travel, the Samford Abroad Logistics Coordinator will advise students on post-applications procedures to prepare them for study, work, volunteer, and intern abroad opportunities within the portfolio of Samford Abroad & Afield programs. The Coordinator provides high-quality administrative support for students and faculty through the pre-departure and while-abroad phases of the study abroad experience. The Coordinator manages the logistics for faculty-led programs, including facilitation of participant compliance, student registration and billing, and reconciliation of faculty-led budgets. Job Duties Plan, manage, monitor, and review Samford Abroad & Afield budgets, including managing and monitoring program fee accuracy, processing requisitions for payments, reimbursements, and vendor requests Review and manage Samford Abroad & Afield contracts Liaise with Registrar's Office for study abroad course building, permitting, and registration compliance Administer travel insurance for all program participants Collaborate with travel agent to ensure flight compliance and to purchase faculty flights Support Samford Abroad by working within Terra Dotta to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, preparing and producing necessary reports for Clery, eligibility, and enrollment registrations Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Minimum three (3) years of experience in administrative support or logistics coordination. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and university lines. Ability to remain seated or work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally move or transport materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
