Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Import Transportation Clerk to join our growing team in Monterey Park, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating international shipments—managing freight movement across national borders via air, ocean, rail, and land to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare all international transportation documents in full compliance with Customs, insurance standards, pack specifications, and local/international regulations.
Freight Monitoring:
Stay informed on relevant trade legislation, market updates, and political factors that could impact cargo movements and supply chains.
Communication & Coordination:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, carriers, and vendors, maintaining clear verbal and written communication.
Operational Excellence:
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to keep daily import operations running smoothly.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as an International Import Transportation Clerk.
Software Skills:
Proficiency with CargoWise and standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook).
Compliance Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with ISF filing and international customs procedures.
Security Clearances:
Ability to pass a TSA background requirement, general background check, and drug screening.
Soft Skills:
Strong team player with good problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Pay Rate:
$21.00
•$25.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
