Job Purpose To assist the site Materials Manager and Maintenance Planner to meet site inventory requirements along with mill scheduled/planned maintenance needs. This position will be accountable for a high level of customer service to all internal customers. In this position you will have the opportunity to: Service the daily needs of all plant personnel that come into the storeroom. Physical, receiving responsibilities of all shipments, inspecting physical damage, comparing contents/correctness of shipments according to the packing list. Physical Checks of all "Special Instruction" received items, such as "Go/no go gauge" etc. Electronic receiving responsibilities, accuracy of receiving will be driven off physical accuracy. Restock responsibilities of all inventories received or returned to the storeroom on a daily basis. Assist in performing inventory cycle counts, physical counts and physical counts on mill critical spares. Add new parts additions to EAM. Assist in the month-end process working directly with the Supply Chain Planning & Fulfillment Manager. Ability to adjust the inventory database for returned inventory and critical inventory. Ability to maintain, print, and replace cards with updated bins for accurate inventory and ordering. Inform receipt of materials requested to all plant requestors and mill planner that impact mill maintenance planning and scheduling activities. Properly fill out and maintain material releases and EAM work orders for all repair items. Track all spares that are sent out for repair. Assist mill maintenance personnel to identify and then properly request items needed. Responsible for the organization, neatness and cleanliness of the stores, storage mezzanines and satellite storage areas. Assist internal customers with defining new items that will be added to the inventory database. Manage paper flow, specifically receipts of inventoried items, complete daily, send to proper processing center (AP or Office Manager) with appropriate backup documentation. Responsible for all outgoing shipments of the mill, both parcel and freight, with the exclusion of board. Perform daily and weekly inventories of oil and fast-moving inventory. Assist materials manager with acquisitions and vendor relationships. Perform all duties in accordance with safety, quality and environmental rules & regulations Attend all maintenance department mandatory meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as required. What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good oral and written communication skills. Strong understanding and knowledge of the manufacturing process, stores management process and maintenance planner process. Is a self-starter and has the ability to prioritize short term and long term activities. Ability to develop and maintain strong site level relationships. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to operate a computer and support software. EAM, SAP and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of effective materials management, storeroom operations and inventory control. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects. Good interpersonal skills. Valid drivers license
Experience:
2 years demonstrated maintenance/procurement/supply management experience peferred. Or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Education Education:
High school diploma or equivalent desired 2 years vocational / technical school training desirable. Storeroom /Materials Management preferred Planning and Scheduling training preferred Work Environment Must be able to work in the general plant environment. Must be able to work extended hours as needed. Extended walking, squatting, lifting and standing. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Ability to use stairs and rolling ladders.
