Warehouse Operations Specialist in Tallmadge, OH Join our dynamic team in Tallmadge, OH, where you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to prepare, pack, and process shipments, manage inventory, and ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, pack, label, and process domestic and international shipments according to company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Receive incoming materials, inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition, and complete necessary documentation.
Load and unload freight using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Support hazardous material and air freight shipping activities in compliance with International Air Transportation (IATA) and DOT certifications.
Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and ensure materials are properly identified and stored.
Utilize SAP and other systems to manage inventory and track shipments.
Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling operations.
Working knowledge of packing, loading, shipping, and receiving processes.
Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, correspondence, shipping documents, and safety procedures.
Basic written communication and record-keeping skills.
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory-related tasks.
Basic computer proficiency and experience using warehouse or inventory management systems.
Preferences:
International Air Transportation (IATA) certification and experience with hazardous air shipments.
DOT shipping knowledge and experience with road/trucking regulations.
