$18.00/hour Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Security Officer for a logistics-focused site in Roanoke, TX. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-traffic logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor and secure facility operations, ensuring safety protocols and security procedures are consistently followed Work collaboratively with logistics managers and on-site leadership to maintain efficient and compliant processes Conduct trailer audits, including verification, logging, and inspection of inbound and outbound shipments Support international load intake processes and ensure proper documentation is completed Maintain accurate records using logistics systems and log sheets Create and send detailed, professional reports and emails outlining daily activities, incidents, and key metrics Communicate effectively with clients, truck drivers, and internal staff in a professional and courteous manner Identify and resolve issues proactively using sound judgment and problem-solving skills Required Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Must possess a valid driver's license Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, or storage security Strong understanding of logistics operations and security protocols Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft detailed and professional emails Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Professional communication skills with a customer-service mindset Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Physical Requirements Ability to continuously walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the shift Capability to work in loud and active environments , including warehouse and logistics zones Work Environment Logistics and distribution facility Frequent interaction with transportation personnel and operations teams Exposure to varying noise levels and outdoor conditions All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other applicable legally protected characteristic."
