In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments within the local transportation network, ensuring timely dispatching, accurate data entry, and excellent customer service. You will serve as a vital link between drivers, customers, and internal departments, utilizing transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to optimize routes and maintain compliance with DOT regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient road transportation operations while fostering strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities Coordinate local LTL freight shipments by scheduling pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Alvys Transportation Management and Samsara Vehicle Dispatch Software. Manage multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries from drivers, customers, and internal teams with professionalism and clarity. Monitor GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure on-time deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations. Maintain accurate records of shipping & receiving activities, data entry into logistics software like Alvys and Microsoft Teams, and update internal communication platforms regularly. Communicate effectively via phone calls and internal messaging channels to self dispatch, resolve issues promptly, and provide exceptional customer service. Support shipping & receiving processes by organizing freight documentation, verifying shipment details, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and assist in transportation planning initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience with transportation planning, road transportation operations, or logistics coordination. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with Alvys Transportation Management, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Samsara Vehicle Dispatch Software. Knowledge of

GIS, GPS

navigation tools, DOT regulations, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Data entry accuracy combined with analysis skills to interpret logistics data effectively. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong internal communication channels for seamless dispatching. Prior experience in freight management or supply chain roles is preferred but not required.
