About the Role As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will serve as the primary link between our distribution network and transportation partners to ensure seamless supply chain execution. You will leverage your expertise in logistics software and data analysis to optimize delivery routes, resolve transit disruptions, and drive continuous improvement in our fulfillment processes. Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end transportation logistics, ensuring that all shipments are scheduled and executed with precision. Analyze delivery performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that enhance on-time arrival rates. Act as the central point of contact for external carriers and internal warehouse teams to maintain operational alignment. Manage critical shipping documentation, including bills of lading and compliance records, to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Drive cost-efficiency by refining routing strategies and negotiating service expectations with logistics providers. Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP platforms to maintain real-time visibility of inventory movement. Proactively troubleshoot delivery exceptions to minimize customer impact and maintain high service levels. Develop and present data-driven reports on carrier performance and departmental KPIs to leadership. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data tracking. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Technical aptitude for learning and utilizing complex TMS and ERP software. Preferred Skills Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in high-volume distribution or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with SAP, Manhattan, or similar enterprise-level logistics systems. Working knowledge of DOT regulations and freight management best practices. Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process optimization.
